Gladys Kilmer and Henry Are Wed in Garden City Cathedral Rites niece of the late Mr. Frederick Bulkley Tuttle of Chicago. Mr. Learmonth, formerly of London and Edinburgh, was a veteran of World War 1 serving with the British Army for five years in the East. He holds the 1914 Mans Jeanne Beach Weds Mr.

Peck A wedding of interest that took place on Saturday afternoon was that of Miss Gladys Kilmer of Hilton Hempstead, sister of Mr. Wendell Kilmer of Hempstead, and of daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Theron Wendell Kilmer of New York City and Hempstead, and Mr. Henry Learmonth of Garden City, son of Mr.

and Mrs. George Hogg Learmonth of Leeds, England. The ceremony took place in the Cathedral of the Incarnation, Garden City, with the Very Rev. Hubert Stanley Wood, dean of the Cathedral, officiating at 3 o'clock. A reception followed at the home of the bride for 250 guests.

Mr. Kilmer gave his sister in marriage. She wore a rose-beige gown of Italian lace and chiffon with a halo hat of heirloom lace. She carried orchids. Mrs.

Wendell Kilmer was matron of honor for her sister-in-law. Col. M. F. Rockel, U.

S. Army, was best man. The ushers were Col. John Kennedy, U. S.

of Mitchel Field, Mr. James R. Flynt and Mr. Keith L. Baker, both of Garden City; Mr.

G. Howard Fisher of New York City, Mr. Mont Sharpe of Westwood, N. and Mr. Ralph C.

Persons of Hempstead. Mrs. Learmonth, whose father was a leading pediatrician and prominent portraitist, was graduated from the Episcopal School of St. Agatha, New York City, majoring in history of art, and is a member and vice chairman of the art department of the Garden CityHempstead Community Club, a member of the Woman's Club of the Willistons and its first vice president for the past three years, and a member of the Early American Industries Association. Her paternal grandparents are the late Mr.

and Mrs. Chauncey Kilmer of Saratoga and New York City. Her maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis E.

Ransom, one of the founders of the Chase National Bank and its first vice president and she is the grand- (Jay Te Winburn) Mrs. Henry Learmonth Victory General Service Medals. His first wife, Jessie May Guy of England, died in 1947. He is with Sperry CoMp. Marion Paolillo, Roosevelt, Bride Of Joseph Schulz in Formal Rites Miss Marion Paolillo, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Louis Paolillo of 10 Third Place, Roosevelt, became the bride of Mr. Joseph C. Shulz, son Mrs. Fred Schmidt of 75 W.

Clinton Roosevelt, and the late Mr. J. Schulz, Sunday afternoon. The Rev. James McElvey officiated at the four o'clock ceremony in the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Roosevelt.

A reception followed at Musicaro's. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin, fashioned with a lace bodice and full skirt falling into a train. A tiara of seed pearls secured her fingertip-length veil and she carried a bouquet of white roses. Miss Elaine Paolillo was maid of honor for her sister. She was attired in a pale green taffeta gown with a tulle overskirt and a matching tiara.

The bridesmaids were Miss Barbara Schulz, niece of the bridegroom, and Miss Ruth Weis, both of Roosevelt. They were attired in identical lavender and maize gowns and tiaras. All carried old-fashioned bouquest of roses. Mr. Henry Schulz was best man for his brother.

The ushers were Mr. Herman Bohnhorst of Roosevelt and Mr. Thyge Lindberg of Uniondale. Following A motor trip South, the couple will reside at 75 W. Clinton Roosevelt.

Washington Trip Follows Wedding Miss Mary Petrillo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Petrillo of N. Central Woodmere, was married to Mr. James Landi, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Angelo Landi of Rockaway Park, yesterday afternoon. The ceremony took place in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hewleft. A reception followed at John's, Inwood.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin trimmed with pearls and a full skirt forming a train. Her fingertip-length illusion veil, edged with lace, was caught by a headdress of lace and seed pearls. She carried a muff covered with white orchids. Miss Jenny Barin of Far Rockaway was maid of honor. She wore a fuschia gown, fashioned with a velveteen bodice and net skirt.

The bridesmaids were Miss Eleanor DeMayo of Far Rockaway, Mondav, February 29, 1949 Doris Widmayer, Norman Greene Honeymoon in Canada Miss Jeanne Marie Beach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Ralston Beach of Sunset Lynbrook, was married on Saturday afternoon to Mr. Ronald Peck, son of Mrs. Carrie Peck of Long Beach Road, Freeport.

The ceremony took place in St. John's Lutheran Church, Lynbrook, with the Rev. C. S. Kirkegaard officiating.

A reception followed at the Sweeden Towers, Baldwin Harbor. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white lace, fashioned with a high neckline, long sleeves and full skirt. Her finger-tip length illusion veil was caught by a lace tiara and she carried a bouquet of white roses with a shower of sweetpeas. Miss Audrey Beach, whose marriage to Mr. Henry J.

Miller will take place on March 19, was maid of honor for her sister. She wore a gown of apple green taffeta with a matching crown and carried a bouquet of talisman roses with a shower of orchid sweetpeas. Mr. John Kornbeck of Plainfield, N. was best man.

The ushers were Mr. Clifford Ralston Beach brother of the bride, and Mr. Harry Miller of Jersey City, N. J. Mrs.

Peck is a graduate of Haverford High School, Brookline, Pa. Mr. Peck is a graduate of Freeport High School and Columbia University. Following a wedding trip, the couple will make their home in Merrick. Miss Schwartz Engaged Mr.

and Mrs. S. H. Schwartz of Woodmere have announced the betrothal of their daughter, Miss Elaine Schwartz, and Mr. Walter B.

Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Davis of Hewlett. Miss Schwartz, a graduate of Woodmere High School, will be graduated from Katharine Gibbs School, New York City, in June. Mr.

Davis, an Army Air Force veteran, was graduated from Woodmere High School and Nichols College. DANCING LESSONS Dancing lessons will be available for Bellmore and North Bellmore Girl Scouts on Saturday mornings at 9:30 AM during March in the North Bellmore School. Her fingertip-length illusion veil was caught by a tiara of seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of calla lilies. Miss Gloria J. Galbo of Garden City was maid of honor. She wore a gown of champagne-colored satin with a matching bonnet and carried a cascade of American beauty roses. The bridesmaids were Miss Mary Barrett of New York City and Miss Betty Richter of Bayonne, N.

J. They wore gowns of dubonnet satin with matching floral headdresses trimmed with tulle and carried cascades of yellow tea roses. Mr. Ernest Greene of Trenton, N. was best man for his brother.

The ushers were Mr. Paul Greene of Brooklyn, another brother of the bridegroom, and Mr. Richard Peloso, also of Brooklyn. Mrs. Greene is a graduate of Cherry Valley High School, Garden City, and Finch Junior College, New York City.

Mr. Greene served three years overseas with the Army and attended New York University. He is associated with Allied Purchasing New York City. Following a wedding trip to Canada, the couple will make their home in New York City. Richard H. Romer of Williston Park was matron of honor for her sister. She wore a gown of green velvet with a flowered tiara of fresh sweetpeas matching her muff. Mr. Jackson Y.

Hammond of Mineola was best man. The ushers were Mr. Jerome D. Rogers of Branch Port, N.Y., brother of the bride, and Mr. Thomas Edward Finley of Mineola, brother-in-law of the bridegroom.

Mrs. Baird is a graduate of Mineola High School. Mr. Baird, also a graduate of Mineola High School, is a Navy veteran and served overseas two years. After a honeymoon spent in Hollywood, the couple will make their home in Mineola.

Announce Troth of Miss Herbert, Lt. Gruber Mr. and Mrs. J. William Herbert of Miller Place, Hempstead, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Dorothy Barbara Herbert, and 1st Lt.

Robert Phillips Gruber, U.S. Air Force, son of Mrs. Carl Gruber of Atlantic City, N.J., and the late Mr. Gruber. Miss Herbert, a graduate of Hempstead High School and the (Sanderson) Miss Dolores Landi, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Rose Yannello of Inwood and Miss Gloria Wilkins of Rosedale.

They were attired in similar gowns of turquoise velveteen and net. All the attendants wore feathered headdresses matching their gowns and carried muffs covered with flowers. Mr. Arthur Landi was best man for his brother. The ushers were Mr.

Patrick Arano of Rockaway Beach, Mr. Donald Crici of Inwood, Mr. William Earl of Brooklyn and Mr. Ralph Russo of Far Mrs. Landi is a graduate of Lawrence High School.

Mr. Landi, a graduate of Harran, High School, New York City, is an Army veteran. After a wedding trip to Washington, D.C., the couple will make their home in Woodmere. Wood School, New York City, is employed in the fashion dise department of Good Housekeeping, New York City. Lt.

Gruber was educated in Atlantic City schools and served overseas. He la stationed at present at Camp Kilmer, New Brunswick, N. J. The couple plan to marry next month. 27.
