1 I fit Diane Marie Conroy, 32 -Diane Marie Conroy, 32, a former assistant Suffolk County district attorney, died Saturday in Syosset Hospital. Miss Conroy, a Republican, served as an assistant district attorney from 1972 through 1974. She then joined the legal staff of the Long Island Lighting Co. and remained until last year, when diabetes forced her to stop working. Since then, she had done occasional volunteer law work for the poor through the St.

Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Amityville. She first learned that she had diabetes when she was 17and had been hospitalized periodically since then. The cause of death was not immediately known. Her brother, Daniel, an Amityville physician, described her as an extremely brilliant woman who loved the arts particularly music and ballet. She was graduated from the Queen of the Rosary Academy in Amityville, and attended St.

John's University on a full academic scholarship. She received her bachelor of arts degreein political science from St. Johns and then was graduated from St. John's Law School. Death Notices BRIGHT -Herbert L.
