AP Photo Nora Elliott, 87, Mother of Seven Farmingdale Services were held yesterday for Nora Elliott, 87, who died Sunday of cancer at Central General Hospital in Plainview. Born in Ireland on April 7, 1890, the former Nora Brien came to the United States in 1910. Later that year, die married John Elliott, a stationary engineer, in New York. Mrs. Elliott, a mother of seven children, lived for 35 years in Rockaway, where she was an active member of St.

Camillus Church. Her church activities included visiting members of the church who were ill. "Any time she heard someone was sick die would go and sit in the house with them. She was very charitable that way, her daughter, Mary Gallick, said. For the last several months, Bhe lived at the home of Mrs.

Gallick. Besides her daughter. Maty, Mrs. Elliott is survived by three other daughters, Agnes, Alice Borden, and Florence Doud; two sons, John and Walter, and 22 -grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. Mass was celebrated at St.

Kilian Church here; burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside. James F. Young, 43, New York City Fireman Sayville Services will be held tomorrow for James F. Young, 43, a New York City fireman who died of cancer Tuesday at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore. Young, of 939 Chester was a member of Engine Company 332 in Brooklyn for 9V4 years until his illness forced him to retire earlier this year.

"He was active in his community and well liked by everybody, Robert Golini, a fellow fireman, said yesterday. Young was a' member of the Knights of Columbus and a coach for the South Bay Football League and Sayville Little League. He is survived by his wife, Carole, and six sons, James, John, William, Robert, Brian and Kevin. Mass at 10 AM tomorrow, St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Sayville.
